Net ball is a sport that only
year 6 girls play in our school. Recently every Thursday we have been practicing
for a tournament that, on the 5th of April 2000, was held at
Thomas Mills High School. Seven schools had arranged to come, but sadly
only 5 could make it. |
| Like us, most schools had 2
teams (A&B). The first match was our A team v Laxfield A and we got a
lot of support from our B team and Mrs Elphick and catching us in action
was our budding photographer Katie. This match we won 5-0 but there was
another match in store for the A team before the B team even got to play!
Then we had a break for ten minutes in which the teams practiced their
tactics. Finally the B team got to play when they won 9- 0 against
Stradbroke A. The A teams games seemed to get harder and harder but it
didn’t stop the B team cheering them on. |

Because of this the A team
lost 2 of their matches, but the B team were fantastic and they won all
their matches with the highest opponent score of only 1! So this meant
that they had won, and Emily and Joanne, the B team shooters went to
collect the trophy.
We had a FANTASTIC DAY!!!!!!! We would
like to thank Mrs. Elphick for giving up her Thursday lunchtimes to coach
us and also for her incredible support.
