On Thursday 8^th of July the new image rugby team went to compete in the Waveney Shield. This is a tournament for the top four teams in Suffolk and the top four teams in Norfolk. The first part of the competition was in league form. The other three teams in our league were St.Botolph’s from Suffolk, and Gardboldisham and Bressingham from Norfolk.

We won all three of the league matches, and so we went through to the semi-finals against Stradbroke. This was the team that beat us 5-4 in the Suffolk final in May, so we were out for revenge! We won the match comfortably and so we were through to the final! Our opponents were Roydon, the winners of the Norfolk final, so we knew we were in for a hard match. We went two tries down in three minutes but we didn’t panic! By halftime we were 3-2 up ,and we eventually cruised to victory 6-3.
