Framlingham  Castle was built in the 12th  century. It was built by the Bygods who owned all of Suffolk at the time. Their son had been awarded half of Norfolk by King Henry II. When his mother and father died he was very wealthy. Framlingham Castle has two stone bridges, not a wooden one which can be raised. Experts think Framlingham castle was wooden but it was taken down because they had decided to build a stronger one made out of stone. It  is a very large castle considering Framlingham is only a town. Framlingham has a very big and deep moat that means it is very hard to get to get across. It still remains in shape after 800 years. There is a well in the centre of  the castle. It has an iron grill over it.

This is  Framlingham castle. It has been around for 800 years. There is a mere in front of it.
