We are known as a town of murals. Our murals are about people in the olden days. There’s a small town in Canada called Camanas. They are a mural town and that’s where we got the idea.
The first school in Katikati was called Waitekohe School. They had the school in 1855.
We still have this river. It is called
the Uretara.
This is George Veisey Stuart.
