Banana growing is very important to St. Lucia and the island and its people. Banana growing has been in St. Lucia for hundreds of years. They have to cut down half of the forest to grow bananas. To keep the bananas growing they spray a fertiliser to stop the insects from eating them. They put a plastic bag to keep the insects of the bananas and to keep them ripe. But killing the insects is not good for the wildlife. Frogs will die without food.
