Passenger trains came into Framlingham up until 1952. The Framlingham train line was a branchline off the East Coast line running between Ipswich and Lowestoft. Freight trains (carrying goods) ran into and out of Framlingham up until 1963. The station master lived on the upper floor of the station. Downstairs were the waiting rooms, booking office and toilets. Below is the building as it is now. The station area is now an industrial area.
