Tudor people used boxes to store food or put treasures  in.  The boxes were carved by the poor people. If the poor received important letters they would put them in the boxes. The rich people put their special  things in the boxes. Tudor boxes were used to keep pictures in and jewellery. Some boxes had locks on them because if people had special things in people might nick them. Some boxes had drawers on them.
