The Cucking stool was used to punish women who they thought were witches. The crown that you can see on the stool is used to put on her head. There is a spiky bit were you put your tongue so if you speak it will dig into the roof of your mouth. You sat in a big heavy chair. It will lower you down into the lake, river or a lock. A lot of it is made out of the same material. The material is iron, a metal. It went rusty very quickly.
