The rich in those days were very rich in deed because they had silver and pewter cutlery.  The poor had wooden bowls
and they all have knifes and they didn't have forks. They were made out of horn and pewter.

You see the big bowl at the front? That is made out of pewter and the spoon is quite small for a big bowl. In Tudor times they didn't have forks. 

In the picture above you can see a knife. In the picture you can't see a fork because they didn't use them. They  had a case for their knife. You can see  a black thing. It is a case.

The little holes at the top were used to put salt in.  These plates were used for the poor people because the rich had pewter or silver.
