The pipe that they used
to get the  water
from the ground was hollowed out of an elm tree.  The pump is used for pumping the fresh water out of the well. They had pumps and wells. The water in Tudor times was dirty and the Tudors couldn't drink it so it was not used for water  to be stored. The poor people drunk watered down ale.

The tap in the picture is used for when you want to empty the trough. Then you  can open the tap and let the  water out.  There is the Tudor rose on the trough. The Tudor rose is red and white. The trough Is made out of lead.
