Sir Francis Drake is famous for his round the world
voyage. It started in Plymouth and his first stop was about a year later in Chile. He left off with 5 ships and stopped in Chile with one left, the Golden Hind. He reached Chile and left off to go to Indonesia underneath South Africa. He arrived back in England with 1 ship left 3 years after he left with the Spanish gold.
