The poor had small houses with only one room with
basic wood furniture which every household needs. They did not have stairs they had ladders to get up to their beds. The kitchen has a fireplace, table, some pots, pans etc. The windows did not have any glass in them just wooden poles for support for it would cost lots of money to have glass which only the rich could afford.
