This old pit wagon is now the centre piece of the village and stands at the old         entrance to the North Staffordshire Railway Station at the village. This wagon was placed here by the Halmer End Village Association who have spent many hours    working on the village to make it a better place for all the residents to live in. The village regularly enters for the Best Kept Village Competition.
