Audley Old Hall. The house was once the home of the Vernon family, although towards the end of its life it had been occupied by various families and had fallen into disrepair. (img0011)
William White's buildings, Church Street Audley. Pevenser described these buildings as 'indeed something extraordinary'. The were shops and a small house in Victorian times and stood opposite the first Post Office in the village in Church Street. (img0013)
Audley's First Post Office, Church Bank.. Before the Post Office was moved to its present site it stood opposite White's Builings (see above). This photo shows postmen and women in typical Victorian and Edwardian uniform. (img0036)
