This part of the building dating back to the start of the school was demolished in the late 70s. All that remains is the foundation stone, set in the grounds at the corner of the school site. At the time the school was the Halmer End National School. The name 'National' was dropped from the title when Staffordshire County Council took over the school in 1909. The next photograph shows some of the staff .
