Advanced Level Design & Technology

We take the Design & Technology paper of the London Board, which is accepted as an entry qualification by all major universities, and colleges, especially for Engineering.

In Design & Technology we work through problem-solving. By this means you learn to:

1. Recognise problems where a practical or technical solution is appropriate.
2. Examine and develop possible solutions.
3. Choose the best solution and plan the ideal way to carry it out.
4. Make the product in suitable materials.
5. Evaluate and test the product.

The examination consists of three papers with equal weighting.

Paper 1. Design
Paper 2. Technology
Paper 3. Coursework projects
