GCSE Child Development
This course is open to both boys and girls at Sir Wilfrid Martineau School. The course aims to make you aware of overall needs of young children and the factors which affect their development.
In addition, many parts of the course are excellent preparation for adult life. This is n ideal course for anyone wanting to work with children as a career.
This course requires two pieces of coursework to be completed. Direct contact with young children under five years is essential for completion of one of the assignments. There is also a two hour written examination.
Assessment is 50% coursework, 50% examination.
