GNVQ Health and Social Care - Advanced

This course is designed to provide you with the knowledge, understanding and skills required for employment in the field of Health & Social Care.

There are 8 compulsory units

• Interpersonal interaction in Health & Social Care.
• Physical aspects of Health & Social well-being.
• Health & Social well-being : Psycho-social aspects.
• The structure and development of Health & Social Care services.
• Health & Social Care practice.
• Education for Health & Social ell-being.
• Research perspectives in Health & Social Care.

In addition there are 4 optional units and 3 core skill units in Information Technology, Communications and Application of Number.

The course lasts 2 years.

The course is continually assessed. Assessment is through assignments. There are also short tests which are externally set and marked in seven of the eight mandatory units.
