GNVQ Manufacturing - Intermediate
The course structure is as follows:
Four Mandatory units
Two Optional units in the same area
Three Core Skills (numeracy, communication and IT)
There is no time limit to the completion of the course but students would be expected to complete this course in a year.
The GNVQ is designed to provide opportunities for students to develop skills, knowledge and understanding in manufacturing. The work will be varied and will include working with design specifications, production planning, process operations, quality control and health and safety.
The course will be useful for any student who wishes to pursue a career in manufacturing - engineering, car mechanics, food technology, electrical engineering, electronics and other related jobs.
