My Animal Poems by Jason Smyth

My dog is not a normal dog. He goes out at night and sings with the rest of the dogs. But that's not all, His smile is like the moon, the smile of gold. And when the night is through he comes home and goes to sleep.
He is just a fluffy hen. He is just a fluffy hen. He is two days old His beak is sort of orange. The rest of him is brown Cock-a-doodle-doo is all he says It doesn't mean a lot But it's all that he can think of it's all the speech he's got.
There was a dog I really liked, He was black with white spots. He wore a dickie bow around his neck. When I went to buy him, he was not for sale. When I asked why, they said "Because he's only for show"
