Welcome to Bramford C of E V.C.P.School

Bramford School is situated three miles outside of Ipswich in a rural setting. We have approximately 174 children from 5 to 11years.

As well as striving to achieve the best standards of education for our children, we are very concerned about providing an interesting and stimulating environment for them to enjoy. To this end we have so far developed a conservation area with a pond, planted insect inviting shrubs, placed nesting boxes in a sheltered area, and maintained a meadow area with a bench table for children to work on. We have also planted large areas of grass around school with bulbs to provide a scene of beauty in the spring. The latest development which is underway is the construction of a children's 'play area' with large pieces of equipment such as a rope bridge. We hope to be able to extend the facilities available over the next couple of years.

The children are also very concerned about the conservation of tropical rainforests and the animal and plant life that is being destroyed within it. So far the children have collected enough money to purchase three acres of tropical rainforest in Belize.

In 1995 the year 2 children won £100 in a project to plan and design a conservation area at Blue Circle in Claydon. As you can see the desire to protect and conserve wild life is very strong at Bramford.
