The whole school was called into the hall for a very special assembly Friday afternoon. With parents invited to attend, and all staff watching - something was happening. Ms Low announced that our Headteacher, Mrs Price, had been nominated for the Nottingham Teacher of the Year award, and had won the title. |

Each
class chose two children to read out why they thought Mrs Price was
so special, and deserved to win the award.

Class 2 think
that Mrs Price is special because she has a big responsibility to look
after school. She has good feelings. If you done, she's sad. She listens
to both sides when people are arguing, and she gives out fair punishments.
She gives us good advice and asks us to repect people.Mrs Price is funny
because in assembly she tells jokes and stories. She welcomes new children
and explain things kindly. She helps teachers and children. She's improving
our school : she got us a new roof. We have projects, like ourm playtime
project. You can talk to Mrs Price : she asks us to tell the truth.
She gives us more than one chance.

Class 3 think that Mrs Price is special because she runs the school well and sorts things out really calmly. She cares about the people in this school. She's generous and she's the best headteacher in the world. |

Class 4 think Mrs Price is special because she always helps us to learn. She helps us to make friends. She goes outside at lunchtime and she says hello to us. She is a lovely headteacher. |

Class5 thinks that Mrs Price is special because she cares about everyone in the school. She is special because she gives us stickers. She is incredible she's won lots of money for us. She is a good headteacher because she tells you off. She is a wonderful teacher - the best ever ! |

Class 6 think Mrs Price is special because she helps us. She teachers us things ; she always smiles at us. We love her ! |

Nursery stood up and sang a lovely song about how special Mrs Price is. They sang really well. | |

Mrs Price was presented with her award, and spoke to the school, thanking all the teachers and children for helping to win this award, but we think that Mrs Price deserves all the applause for being recognised as; Nottinghams Best Teacher |
