- In Jigsaws we combine structured play with a broad and balanced curriculum. We have a Literacy and Numeracy lesson each day, and base much of our play and activities around topics linked to the National Curriculum.
- We encourage the children to write using 'emergent' writing techniques. We believe it is important to boost their confidence in writing and urge them to have a go, encouraging use of phonic and graphic knowledge as the children acquire it.
- S. wrote 'I like to play with my Godzilla because it's big and I like pressing the buttons.'
- K. wrote 'Batman is good. I think Batman helps.'
- J. wrote 'I watched football.'
- F. wrote 'I went to the shop with my Nana.'
