Dear Parents/Carers,

A big thank you to all parents who attended Parents’ Evening
last /Wednesday and some on Thursday. It was wonderful to see so many of
you. If for any reason or another you could not attend then please
contact your child’s class teacher to arrange an appointment.

Inset
A reminder that it is Inset Day on Friday – a big thank you to all
parents that remembered only four days dinner money!

Half-Term
As it is Inset Day on Friday, we break up for half term this Thursday,
7th February. School begins again on Monday, 18th February.

Parents with Dogs
May I remind parents that dogs are not allowed on any part of the school
site. Please do refrain from bringing your dog when you deposit and
collect your children.

Fernwood Comprehensive School
As you are aware Southwold is now a feeder school for Fernwood
Comprehensive. To celebrate this fact an invitation will go out this
week for all parents/carers of children who live in this catchment area
to visit Fernwood, have a look around and meet some of the staff.
Parents of our present Year 6 and who opted to go to Fernwood will also
receive an invitation to attend a special Year 7 meeting at a slightly
later date.

Year 5 pupils
Year 5 pupils have been involved in an Arts Project led by Nottingham
Trent University. Our pupils and some Year 7 pupils from Margaret Glen-
Bott, will stage a presentation of their work after half term. Details
later this week.

Study Club
There will be a Study Club session for Year 6 pupils – SATs revision(!)
on Thursday, 21st February. Details from Miss Low.

Yours sincerely,

Kay Price
