Newsletter – Friday, 11th January 2002

Dear Parents/Carers,

First of all a very happy new year to you all. I do hope you had a
pleasant Christmas and New Year break. I would like to welcome to
Southwold, Mrs Wendy Pinkett and Mrs Bev Beresford who are job-sharing
the Nursery Nurse post in the Nursery. I hope they will be very happy
here! I have a few notices for you and a couple of important dates.
Here we go:-

Dinner Ladies
Yesterday, Becky Tompkin worked her last lunchtime for us as she has
secured employment elsewhere. Thank you to Becky for all she has done
since she has been here. We are desperate for at least one dinner lady
and if we can I would like to employ two. So, if you enjoy being with
children, you are helpful and friendly and have a sense of humour, please
do come and see me.

Class 5
Early this week Mrs Stonier informed me that because of medical reasons
she will not be able to resume her post next Wednesday as planned.
Everyone at Southwold wishes her a very speedy recovery. In the meantime
Class 5 will be taught as a job share by Mrs Kathleen Gibbon and Mrs
Kathy Smith.

Kingswood Visit
Mr Widdowson has asked me to remind parents about continuing their
payments. We are fast approaching the deadline when monies have to be
collected and sent!!

Milk Money
Would parents who have not yet paid for their child’s milk for this term
please send £4 as soon as possible to Mrs Buzza.

Dinner Money
We are still experiencing parents sending their children to school,
expecting them to stay for school lunch but not sending any money to pay
for the lunch. While appreciating the difficulties some parents have, we
as a school, are not allowed to provide a school lunch unless it has been
paid for. So please, please if you want your child to stay for school
lunch I must insist you pay for the meal on that day. Would parents who
owe money for unpaid lunches please see Mrs Buzza to settle the unpaid
bills.
