New names and new staff next term!

Our congratulations to: Miss Wimpenny who becomes Mrs Deshais this summer, Miss Wydenbach who becomes Mrs Langley and to Miss Mathieson who will be Mrs Baker.

Our thanks to Mrs Conway who starts her maternity leave this summer. We will miss her very much but wish her much happiness and good health and thank her for all her brilliant work for us over the last three years.

Our thanks also to Mrs Holmes who is moving with Jigsaws to Lenton Primary for September 2002. We will miss Jigsaws and the superb work of Mrs Holmes – with our children and staff. We hope to visit Mrs Holmes at Lenton soon.

We welcome Ms Fletcher, Mrs Ozelli, Miss Stretton and Mrs Stone, who will be joining us as teaching assistants at Southwold in September. We look forward to working with them.

Changes to the site:
We are looking forward to our new fence for our Foundation Stage Unit 3 – 6 (formerly Nursery/Reception). A new green metal fence will replace the wooden one in August.

From September we will ask parents and children to walk around school past the staff car park to reach the playground. Access will no longer be allowed through the ‘nursery’ yard for health and safety reasons.

A new fixed play apparatus will be installed for our Foundation Stage children. Please help us by ensuring children keep away from the school site, not only during building works but also after school hours.

More news next week: SATs results and Year 6 Leavers.

Thank you once again for the many cards for Mrs Price. She is slowly getting better and was very disappointed that the process of recovery has been so long. She misses all the children and school very much, and in my visits to her, I have kept her in touch with the exciting developments recently in school.

Please note the school closure on Wednesday 17th July this week – one day only.

Milk for Infant children

If you wish your infant child to have milk next term you can pay the £4 before we break up to make sure your child gets milk from the first day back. Please give the money to Mrs Buzza.

Dinner money
Dinner money is unchanged at £1.34 per day (£6.70per week), please pay all money on Monday morning. Please make cheques payable to ‘Nottingham City Council’.

Yours sincerely,

P. M. Low
