Newsletter – Friday 14th June 2002

Dear Parents/Carers,

Our thanks to all the parents who supported our Jubilee week. We all enjoyed the events immensely from our colourful red, white and blue day to our fantastic Jubilee picnic under blue skies. Please support our Playtime project by sending in hula-hoop sponsorship money to your child’s class teacher. A £1 from every child in school for example would raise enough for a term’s playtime games!

A new project in school is our ‘Southwold Playtime Team’. They have been specially chosen and trained by Miss Wydenbach to assist children at playtimes.

Also this week you will have seen David Finch, our security man, who has been assisting with safety on site. The health and safety of our children will always be our prime concern.

Staff News
Mrs Joyce Holder has kindly taken on the job of being Class 2’s teacher in my place during Mrs Price’s absence; our thanks to Mrs Holder for taking over from me at a special time for Year 6. Mrs Price continues to get better and sends regards to everyone and hopes to see everyone before the holidays.

Coming soon ……… ‘A School Newspaper’ by Sally Hewitt. Our very own book about Southwold… please place your orders with Mr. Widdowson. The cost of the book will be £8, a saving of £2.99 on the shop price. Money and orders to Mr Widdowson by Friday 21st June at the very latest.
