Newsletter Thursday, 23rd May 2002

Dear Parents/Carers,

Firstly thank you for all your support while Mrs Price has been off ill and your kind enquiries about Mrs Price’s health. She is resting and recovering well after her illness. She has enjoyed the many get well cards from the children.

The children in Year 2 have worked really hard all week on their Key Stage 1 SATs. They have been super in doing their best and Mrs Reddings and Mrs Smith have been very pleased with Year 2’s efforts. The staff value very much the help you have given the children in preparing for their SATs.

Year 3 and 1 in Class 5 have also worked hard all week and behaved beautifully in the different classes they had to go to this week. Year 4 and 5 have also started school tests this week which help staff track the children’s progress.

We are all looking forward to our Jubilee Week next week after a half term of hard work and tests. The programme of events is enclosed.

Please support our Jubilee celebrations by encouraging the children’s fancy dress on Monday. We also need parent helpers for our fun sports day on Wednesday afternoon. Please see Miss Wimpenny if you can help.

Tickets for the Thursday night disco are on sale before and after school daily.

The Nursery will have their celebrations as well within the Nursery area. See Mrs Duncan for details.

Please keep sending in used postage stamps for the Nursery.

Royal Picnic
We will be sending out an invitation to all our parents and families to join us at our Royal Picnic at 2.30 pm on Friday, 31st May, on the school field.

Each child or adult will be asked to bring a packed picnic/tea.

Further details next week.

Come along and share our Jubilee Fun!

Half Term
The school half term finishes on Friday 31st May at 3.25. We return to school on June 10th.

Yours sincerely,
