My mum and dad getting married is one of my millennium memories, but one thing I will always remember is going to Jamaica.
It all began when my mum and dad decided that me and my brother needed to meet some of our family that we had never met. So in June 1998 me, my brother, my mum and my dad set off to Jamaica. It took about 12 hours to get there. By this time we were so happy to have finally got there but one thing was wrong: as we landed we were told by airstaff that we were in Montego Bay, and not Kingston where we were supposed to be! And so we stayed in a hotel. It was a very posh clean and glamorous hotel. It was so nice that when the bus came to take us to the airport to go to Kingston an elderly woman wanted to stay there until it was time for her to go back to England. Anyway, when we landed in Kingston we were welcomed by my Uncle Trevor. Like I said, I loved it Jamaica and I would love to go again.
From Tilly

I remember when I was five years old and I asked my mum who’s were the bibs and dummys. She said it’s because she was having a baby. I was so excited and I told all my friends at school.

I remember when we all went to the arboretum. We took lots of photographs of my aunties and my sisters and my uncles. We saw birds and ducks and squirrels. We saw a baby duck lying in the water.

I remember when I was about eight years old and I went out to play with my friend on the skateboard ramp with my skateboard. Soon we let somebody have a go. He went down the ramp, but when he got down he jumped off and the skateboard shot into my face. When I got up everyone was looking at me and was saying that I had cut my eye open and I would have to have it taken out. I went to hospital and had butterfly stitches in my head. The doctor said if the skateboard had gone any lower my eye would have come out. I was very lucky !!
From Katherine

I remember when my sister was born. I had the chickenpox so I had to go to my mums friends so that I did not give my mum shingles and so the baby would not be infected in anyway. On Christmas day I was fine and my mum brought the baby home. I was the happiest boy in the world that Christmas.
From James

I remember when I was younger my dad was in the army. He was one of the best soldiers. He took me to the training centre. He showed me where the guns were. I watched my dad training. I felt proud of my dad. The next day my dad got me an army suit and a toy gun.
