After creating diary work set 200 years into the future - see the Future Echoes section of the site - class 3 extended their futuristic literacy work and began to write parts of a story about the adventures of four people who travel from place to place.
After a lot of discussion they eventually decided that there would be a mother, Lila, and her three children; Mike, Sandy and Skye.
The class teacher made the suggestion about using a teleportation booth - a large phonebox type structure - to travel instantly to anywhere, and groups of children then went away and began to make up and adventure for the characters in a strange and wonderful location.
