It is soon coming up to Red Nose Day, as you are aware and Southwold School are determined to raise as much money as possible. Did you know that only one third of the money raised, by Comic Relief, goes to projects working in the UK, and two thirds go to projects in Africa? Since 1985, when Comic Relief was first launched over 174 million pounds has been raised, through Red Nose Days.

To make Red Nose Day that bit more enjoyable staff at Southwold, have agreed to wearing, their pants on the outside of their clothes! If the pupils raise £200 or more. We are looking forward to seeing them like this, so we are attempting to reach the target of  £200. (This could also be a bit of revenge for all the piles of work they give us!), Unfortunately we have only managed to raise £15.68 so far. We hope that we can raise enough money to help the unfortunate countries in need.

Did you know that every pound Comic Relief collects off the pubic goes to the poor and vulnerable in Africa and the UK?

Many celebrities are taking part in Comic Relief, to help raise that little bit more money. You may have seen adverts on the television about Red Nose Day, to encourage more people to help the poor, and the people who are losing their homes from disastrous floodings. So say PANTS to poverty and take part in Comic Relief!!!!
