Piggy Instructions

Pupils:
You have £20 to spend, but you must buy at least one pencil for school and put £5 into the Bank.
Now spend the remainder, giving a zero balance,by changing only the blue zeros in column D.

Teachers may:
Change the number of items in the list;
Change the item costs;
Change the amount to be spent;
Make all prices odd or even values;
etc.

Perhaps get the pupils to investigate the correct prices for the items in the list.

Aims:
to develop mental agility;
begin development of the concept of 'modelling' in National Curriculum for IT terms;
be part of investigation into shopping habits/prices/etc.

Comment:
I've found that adults (teachers) will spend ages on this exercise!
