WHAT DOES THE CENTRE DO?

The joys of discovering the natural world should be available to all children. Springfield Study Centre near Knowle, close to Birmingham is designed especially for children with physical or sensory deprivation: those children who have often been excluded from wild places due to problems of access.  The Centre was built in 1982 by the Variety Club of Great Britain for Birmingham Local Education Authority and when completed Birmingham LEA took on all the running costs.
