The Centre is set in an old walled garden with approximately 10 acres of grounds, including a variety of different habitats such as woodland, lake, meadow, stream, ponds and river.
There is wheelchair access to all these areas, even allowing the child in a chair to go into the river and 'paddle' and dip along with their more able-bodied friends. The woodland is wild and natural but with gravel paths running throughout. The blind or partially sighted child can have a safe, tactile walk and enjoy a variety of sounds and smells.
