Sponsored Abseil down the Ipswich Hospital Maternity Block
| On Sunday, 8th July 2001, Mr Moore and
Miss Doran abseiled several hundred feet down the side of
the Maternity Block of Ipswich Hospital, to raise money
for Friends of Sprites. They said that the worst bit was
going over the edge at the top! There are small images of
their descent below - if you click on them, you can see a
larger version of the same image. Altogether, about 3,000 people descended the tower in the course of the weekend, including six Sprites children, for various worthy causes.
