National School Grounds Day 1997.

After our picnic in the playground we learned some different ways of dancing.

	We were taught how to dance around the Maypole. We nearly got in a tangle!
	Mrs. Eccles likes Line Dancing and she showed us how to do this exciting cowboy dance. Yeeee Haaaa!. Also, Mrs. Jackson strutted her stuff and showed us how to boogie on down to the latest disco music.
The whole day was brought to an end with a spectacular balloon race. We were given sponsor forms to take home for our families to buy a balloon for the race. Each balloon cost £1 and there was a prize for the balloon which travelled the furthest distance.
	We sold over 400 balloons and the children set them off at 3:00pm. The winning balloon came from the Polish border.
We have used the money raised with the balloons to make a quiet paved area in the school yard. A great day was had by all and we can't wait to do it all again!.
