| Kestrel.
Name: Unknown.
|
This is the most common daytime Bird of Prey. You have probably seen one hovering beside a road or motorway.
Hovering is when the bird looks like it is floating still in the air and not moving - like a helecopter.
Kestrels hover beside the road to wait until they see mice and voles. When they see their prey, they swoop down and kill with their very small sharp tallons.
If a Kestrel is grey it is a boy and if it is brown it is a girl.
