TRIPLE CHAMPIONS

Once again our girls achieved a brilliant victory at the St. David's Tournament.  This is our third win in the last three years.  The girls came through the qualifying stages winning all their matches.  The hardest battle being against Bourton School where they were held to a 2-1 win.  In the semi-final a terrific battle against the hosts looked for a long time as if it could go either way.  At half-time the scores were level at 2-2.  In the second half two goals by Sarah Keyte were enough to guarantee victory.  In the final the girls were up against Mickleton School who had beaten them in a recent match.  This time there was to be no repeat with our girls running out winners by 7-2.

Last year we defeated Bourton-on-the-Water by 12-5 and the year before St. David's 10-1

Each year we send children to take part in the area cross country championships.   Children who finish in the first twelve go on to represent the North Cotswolds in the county championships in Gloucester.  This year Alice Daffurn gained a place in the team for the second year running.  She managed to achieve a very creditable 27th place.

We have an athletics club which takes place after school and  hold a sports day every year where the children get a chance to show what they can do.
