The Schools Aims and Objectives

The intention is to provide experiences to enable each and every child to realise his/her potential.

The aims and objectives are:

To create a happy, secure and caring school environment.

To provide a Christian education in accordance with the rites,ceremonies and doctrines of the Church in Wales.

To help children develop self respect, courtesy, good manners and consideration for others.

To ensure a command of basic English and an ability to communicate through speech and various forms of writing. To develop a knowledge and understanding of mathematical concepts.

To encourage scientific curiosity and develop observational skills through studies of the natural environment.

To awaken an awareness of our natural heritage through the media of environmental problems.

To enrich and extend learning across the curriculum through the powers of Information Technology.

To foster a practical problem solving approach to Design Technology.

To foster an enjoyment and understanding of the Welsh Language and heritage.

To develop acceptable social and moral attitudes based on Christian doctrine.

To teach skills in handwriting and creative arts, including music. To provide enjoyment of physical activities, games, skills, drama, movement and mime.

To establish an environment within which teaching and non-teaching staff, school governors, advisory colleagues and parents can work together in the best interests of the children towards the achievement of these aims.
