St Thomas Becket has a lively and flourishing Sixth Form. We offer a wide range of courses which are suited to the requirements of individual students. We provide 'A' Levels, 'AS' Levels, GNVQ and GCSE's.

Course Details:

Option 1 - 3 chosen subjects plus 2 General Studies, 1 RE, 1 IT and 1 PE(optional)
Option 2 - 2 chosen subjects plus 2 General Studies, 1 RE, 1 IT and 1 PE(optional)

'AS' Level Information Technology available as a 1 year course. Successful candidates may also continue their studies and take the full 'A' Level course.

All courses subject to viability of numbers
 There are two levels of entry:
    Intermediate. This is a one year course and is equivalent to 4 GCSE's at grade 'C' or above

    Advanced. This is a two year course and is equivalent to 2 'A' Levels.

Course Details:

Students will complete 15 vocational lessons, 1 IT lesson, 1 RE lesson and 1 PE lesson(optional) in a normal week.

There are 3 grades:
1. Pass
2. Merit
3. Distinction

Assessment will be by continuous assessment to produce a portfolio of evidence plus unit tests set by the board for mandatory units.
