The
school participates in creative, project, and science competitions, quizzes,
festival, feiseanna and debates, at local, provincial and national level.
They have had awards from Aer Lingus Science, Irish Times Young Historian of the Year, W.H. Smith Creative Writing, I.W.C.O. Environmental Science, Credit Union Art, Ashbourne Shield, St. Vincent de Paul Project work and Royal Mail letter-writing.
The school magazine is an award-winner. Our science pupils were involved in a Science/Engineering Project with Powerscreen International, Q.U.B. and N.I.S.T.R.O.
Our Chalk Face drama
group had outstanding results in R S A Performing Arts. They competed successfully
at the Waterfront Spring '99 and carried off the award for Best Soundtrack.
