In Sport, the pupils are
offered athletics, basketball, badminton, canoeing, gaelic football, netball,
rounders, running, swimming, tennis, volleyball and aerobics. Of these,
athletics, field and track, basketball, gaelic football, netball, tennis,
are competitive at county, district and area level.
Within school, for internal
enjoyment and competition there is a swimming gala, a tennis tournament,
a netball league and a sports day. They swim in Dungannon Leisure
Centre and older girls go canoeing to Carnteel, Roughan and the Blackwater.
The school aims to foster
competition, to offer choice and opportunity to those competitive and those
non-competitive by nature, so that health and fitness and enjoyment are
promoted.
