The school is situated on the former Lyle estate on the outskirts of Donaghmore village.  There are 500 pupils from a wide catchment area ranging from Dunamore in the north to Benburb in the south and from Carrickmore to Portadown.  The majority are from the immediate area, and from Dungannon, Coalisland and the " low country." There are 32 full time and 3 part-time teachers, all but two teaching their specialist subjects.  In addition, we have one French assistante.  Sister Mary Brogan, is our counsellor and mentor.

CANTEEN
The newly extended  school canteen provides hot lunch on a cash cafeteria basis. Those paying do so one week in advance.  Those children who choose to bring a pack lunch have a provided facility to eat same.

INTAKE POLICY AND INDUCTION
Pupils range in age from 11-18 years. We do not accept children who require specialist or remedial teaching, which we cannot provide.  Some parents make a provisional booking up to one year ahead, some on open night.  This is recommended in the light of capacity limits on all schools.  It is provisional on the school’s acceptance.  Others we first meet at the night for new pupils in June, when children come with their parents or guardians to meet their form teacher, be allocated their classes, receive the student guidelines and uniform list.  Parents are welcome to stay with First Year pupils on the first day if they so wish.
