SCHOOL ASSEMBLIES

St Margaret's, like all schools, is required to hold a daily collective act of worship or assembly.  Our assembly time is very important as it provides us all with an opportunity to worship God together. On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays the whole school meet together.  Our Monday assembly is usually taken by the Head or Deputy, although the Revd David Cutts does join us for a Monday assembly once or twice a term.  Our Wednesday assembly is what we term our 'open assembly', on this day we welcome parents, relations, friends etc. to join us in the school hall.  These assemblies are nearly always led by a visiting speaker.  David Cutts, is of course, a regular visitor as are many ministers from local churches.  We are always on the lookout for visiting speakers, if you know of anyone please do contact Eddie Green at the school and do please remember that you do not have to be a parent of a child at the school to attend - all are welcome.  On Friday mornings, once a term, each class leads our assembly and shares with us something of what they have been doing in class.  Our picture is of class four who

The school is, once again, holding an afternoon Christmas entertainment especially for senior citizens.  This year the event takes place on Monday, 14th December at 1.30 p.m. in the school hall.  Do join us for a cup of tea, a mince pie and an afternoon's entertainment.  Please ring Sue McCouaig, the school secretary on 251613 if you would like to come.

Netball
Champions as well!!!

Mention was made in the last newsletter of the school's sporting success in the Summer Term.  Confirmation arrived recently that the School's Netball Team had one the Ipswich Mixed League.  Very many congratulations to all who played and their coaches.
