All about Butler's

The class wrote to the Ivor Spence School of Butlers to find out how butlers are trained today.

One of the questions they asked was:
"Do butlers have to pay for things that they break?"

"No, they don't, but a good butler will always offer. Of course, a good master would always decline."

Today both men and women can become butlers.

Armed with their specialist knowledge about butlers the children had a go at writing their own advertisement for a butler.
They had their own ideas about what sort qualities they would want such as strength to carry the heavy shopping bags back from Asda!

Deanne drew a picture of William Sambrooke, Matthew Boulton's butler.
