The prototype National Grid for Learning. The Grid will provide for learners in schools, higher education, libraries and lifelong learning. It will be developed so that learners in the various home countries of the UK can access information most directly relevant to their local education systems.



British Educational Communications and Technology Agency. Becta is a government-funded charity that provides advice to educational establishments in the form of publications (many of which are free) and on-line resources.



The prototype Virtual Teacher Centre The Virtual Teacher Centre (VTC) is based around five 'rooms', Reception, Library, Meeting Room, Classroom Resources and Professional Development. The individual rooms are reached by clicking on the appropriate part of the black bar at the top of each page. Over time, each room will have a distinctive character and content.



The Office for Standards in Education (OFSTED) Visit this site to read the OFSTED inspection reports of all those schools that have so far been inspected. You will need an application/plugin called Adobe Acrobat Reader  to look at these reports. Follow the link to Adobe Systems web site and follow the instructions.
