Burneside by Ashley and Deighan

Sprint mill was used as a corn mill and is the oldest mill on the river sprint and because of that the mill has priority on the river. Two fires in its whole history had destroyed the sprint mill and at one stage the owners decided to build a gunpowder mill but Kendal disagreed in case of bombing. In summer children and their parents go and have a swim in the cool fresh water.

The church was especially built for James Croppers deceased wife who was buried in the church. In the church there are some beautiful stained glass windows also lovely carvings.
