EVENTS IN SCHOOL

OPERATION CHRISTMAS
CHILD
We have just finished a project called Operation Christmas Child in which we had to collect as many shoe boxes as we could and fill them with gifts, toys and sweets to send to children in countries not as fortunate as ourselves. We collected over 200 shoe boxes and these were sent to a number of Eastern European countries. Some of our children wrote a letter to be included in their shoe boxes and we have already started to receive letters of thanks back.

A selection of some of our Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes with some of the pupils responsible for putting them together.

BLAST OFF !!!!!

Each year we do two school productions, one for lower school and one for upper school. This year's upper school production was called Blast Off. Rehearsals started early in the term and involved the whole of year 5 and 6 (200 children). The story was about a teacher who builds a spaceship during a technology lesson and then takes some of his class into outer space. During their travels they meet aliens, black and white holes and a UFO with an inferiority complex !
The show proved to be a great success and we certainly enjoyed acting, singing in the choir and playing the music
.

characters pose for a

newspaper.
