School Activities

SPORTS DESK
At Stow Heath Junior we take part in lots of sporting activities such as football, netball, cricket, cross country, athletics rounders and chess. We try to involve as many keen people as possible and are reasonably successful when we enter
tournaments. The boys cross-country team are currently area champions and we also have Wolverhampton's U9 chess
champion Warren Churchill playing for us.

SUPERSCHOOLS
1998

During the Spring term it is traditional at Stow Heath for the school to take part in Superschools, this is a fund raising event which raises money both for the school and to support young British athletes in their sports. We undertake a number of activities such as star jumps, sit ups, press ups and squat thrusts and get sponsored for the number of exercises we do in 30 seconds. During the course of the day a British athlete comes to school to have their picture taken with us and answer any of our questions. This years famous athlete was British 400 metre runner Jamie Baulch.
