St Peter's Primary School

School activities

Class 1 and 2 recently spent a morning with Mr. Samuel Pepys (drama
specialist Roger Day)

We found out all about

The Great Fire of London

What can you find out about it?
When did it happen?
Who was Mr. Pepys?

To celebrate World Book day, the school had a Book Week in March. Children were able to make their own books and bring in and discuss favourite books. These ranged from Noddy to Tom's Midnight Garden and, of course J.K. Rowling!

We were really pleased to welcome Geraldine McCaughrean, an award-winning author to school. She spent the day in classes and signed her books for us.

Sarah Williams, Claire Birkbeck and Amie Baker have designed and made a tapestry square which will be hung in Bristol Cathedral along with squares from other schools in the diocese.
The tapestry is part of the Millennium celebrations this year. The picture depicts Jesus appearing to his disciples.

Everyone in the school has made a
millennium tile to go on the wall
in Chippenham near the cycle path
down near the river in town .
